Dressed in traditional ao dai, nearly 150 members of the ward's Women's Union cycled from Huong Van No. 1 Primary School to the Khe Trai area, regarded as the ‘capital’ of thanh tra pomelo cultivation in Huong Tra Ward.

After covering a distance of approximately three kilometers, participants visited several thanh tra orchards and explored and purchased OCOP (One Commune One Product) products and other signature local agricultural specialties, including bananas, peanut oil, seasonal vegetables, bamboo shoots, banh loc, thanh tra jam, and many other local products.

“The activity helps promote Hue's image as Vietnam's Ao Dai Capital, encourages a green lifestyle and environmental protection, while showcasing the locality's agricultural potential and strengths as well as its experiential tourism offerings. Through these efforts, we hope to gradually build the image of Huong Tra as a green, welcoming, culturally distinctive, and sustainably developing locality,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Huy, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Huong Tra Ward.

On this occasion, the organizers also presented 10 gift packages to disadvantaged families in the ward, helping spread the spirit of solidarity, compassion, and community responsibility.

Huong Tra Ward currently has around 80 hectares of thanh tra pomelo orchards, of which more than 60 hectares are in stable production.
