On the morning of August 29, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the city, in coordination with the Department of Health, Hue Central Hospital, and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held a national scientific conference themed ‘Climate Change and Non-Communicable Diseases: Issues and Solutions’.

Over 3 weeks since the campaign was launched, up to now, nearly 580,000 residents across Hue have received regular health check-ups, accounting for 45.4% of the city’s population. On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.

On the morning of December 20, at Hue Central Hospital, Vietnam Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (VASLD), and Vietnamese Society of Hepato Biliary Pancreatic Surgery (VSHBPS), in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, held the opening ceremony of the 18th National Conference of VASLD & VSHBPS with the theme “Promotion of developing for technical progress”, and simultaneously launched the Minimally Invasive Treatment for HBP Chapter of VASLD.
