The survey is being conducted from October 22 to 28. Representative food samples are collected from markets, eateries, and restaurants across the city. The research list for the Central region comprises 30 types of food products and dishes, including many familiar Hue specialties.
During the survey, Hue CDC provides information on survey locations, connects the research team with local businesses, and assists in collecting samples according to the plan. Selecting popular foods and dishes that are characteristic of the locality helps supplement nutritional data to better reflect the actual food consumption patterns of people.
According to a Hue CDC representative, the Vietnam’s Food Composition Table is an important data source for nutrition research, dietary assessment, menu planning, and nutritional counseling. Updating the table helps provide additional information on the nutritional value of food products and dishes, supporting professional activities in nutrition and healthcare.
