At the heart of the Imperial City of Hue, the 180-year-old Co Mat Vien (Supreme council for military and major state affairs of the Nguyen Dynasty) is gradually being revitalized in a new guise. Formerly the seat of the highest decisions of the Nguyen Dynasty, the space is being shaped into a center for creativity, education, and heritage experiences for the community.

On the afternoon of December 15, Hue City Department of Health organized a conference to transfer the commune and ward health stations, in their current condition, from the medical centers to the Commune-level People's Committees for management. This is an important step to implement the City People's Committee's decisions on consolidating the organizational model of grassroots healthcare, towards improving management efficiency and promoting the role of local authorities in primary healthcare for People.

On the afternoon of December 1, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held a conference to officially transfer Hue Medical College - previously under the management of Hue City People’s Committee - to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, in accordance with Decision No. 2346/QĐ-TTg dated October 23, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister.

On the morning of November 30th, Hue City People’s Committee Office announced that on November 29th, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2688/QD-TTg approving the election result for the position of Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

“Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism) has just issued a decision to establish Vietnam Sports Delegation for SEA Games 33, in which Hue sports contributes 1 coach and 7 athletes,” said Bui Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports on the afternoon of November 28th. ​

On the morning of November 22nd, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister’s Decision on the merger of Hue Medical College into the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, in accordance with Decision No. 2346/QD-TTg dated October 23rd, 2025.

Hue City People's Committee has just issued the Decision No. 3550/QD-UBND declaring a natural disaster emergency situation regarding the collapse of a Northern section of Hue Imperial Citadel wall, along Dang Thai Than Street, approximately 180m East of Hoa Binh Gate.

On October 23, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed Decision No. 2346/QĐ-TTg on the merger of Hue College of Medicine into the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

On September 11, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City announced that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had issued a decision to rank two relic sites in the city as national relic sites.

On the morning of September 7th, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front of Kim Long Ward (Hue City) solemnly held a ceremony to announce the decision and receive the certificate recognizing Van Xuan Communal House as a city-level historical relic.
