On the morning of January 22, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh, together with leaders of relevant departments and agencies, held a working session with a delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and representatives of Luxembourg Development Cooperation.

Successive floods have inflicted severe damage on irrigation infrastructure while directly disrupting the livelihoods of thousands of households. What are the most effective ways to respond? Recent floods and extreme weather events have severely affected the tourism industry. As a key economic sector, tourism must shift its mindset from passive response to proactive adaptation to enhance resilience against climate change.

Faced with increasingly extreme climate changes, disaster prevention and mitigation for Hue’s heritage sites is no longer solely the responsibility of the conservation sector.

Against the challenges caused by natural disasters, climate change, and human impact, Hue is making great efforts to implement both structural and non-structural solutions, combining technology to build itself into a heritage, green, and smart city.

When the theme for World Tourism Day (September 27, 2025) was chosen as “Tourism and sustainable transformation”, many people immediately thought of Hue’s approach to tourism. In its development orientation, Hue tourism consistently focuses on promoting sustainable transformation, especially transitioning to green, sustainable tourism, adapting to climate change.

On the morning of September 14, at the Youth Center (57 Lam Hoang Street, Hue City), the city's Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, organized a contest on “First aid skills, and communication on voluntary blood donation, tissue donation, organ donation and climate change”. This event was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of World First Aid Day (September 13, 2000 - September 13, 2025).

That was the theme of the national-level scientific conference organized on June 21 by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hue City (Union of Associations) in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Department of Science and Technology, Hue Central Hospital, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Association, and the Infectious Diseases Association of the city. The event gathered leading experts in health, environment, and agriculture - forestry from Vietnam and abroad.

That is the goal of the “Promoting the results of the Master's Program Development in Climate Change Policy and Law project” (CCP-Law Project) seminar held by Hue University on the morning of January 7th.
