As part of the plan to organize the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, the spring festival - “Spring of the Ancient Capital” has many unique programs and activities. Not only are there festival activities in the city center, but in the land on the majestic Truong Son mountain range, the “Spring Colors of A Luoi Highlands” festival would create more highlights and impressions for visitors to Hue this March.

After concluding Stage 9 of Truong Tien - Phu Xuan, the 37th National Cycling Tournament for Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup, themed “United Homeland”, kicked off Stage 10 on the morning of April 13th, starting from Hue City to Da Nang City. This year, the starting point was held at Phu Van Lau (Le Duan Street), instead of the usual location at Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema.

On the afternoon of April 8, Hue City People’s Committee held a sponsorship contract signing ceremony for the National Tourism Year 2025 and Hue Festival 2025 with Vietnam Airlines Corporation – Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines Joint Stock Company.

On the afternoon of April 4, information from the Department of Tourism said that, based on the assessment of visitor arrivals to Hue during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, the number of visitors to Hue City is forecast to increase sharply.

Spreading the message “Convergence and Shine”, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2025, taking place from April 3 to 6, has the participation of over 100 stalls of 42 provinces, cities, and 32 travel agencies, transportation companies, and airlines.

On April 2nd, Hue Monuments Conservation Center held a working session with Ms. Sarah Hooper, the Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, opening up new opportunities for collaboration in heritage conservation, cultural exchange, and sustainable tourism development between Hue and Australia.

On the morning of March 28, at the City Sports Center swimming pool, the Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports, inaugurated the Traditional Swimming Tournament for general education students in Hue City in 2025.

During two days from March 19 to 20, an Australian famtrip group visited, experienced, and surveyed tourism products in Hue City. This was an opportunity for the city's tourism sector to promote and showcase the unique tourist routes, destinations, and tourism products of the locality to the Australian tourist market.

Hue is famous for its delicious cuisine, and the local authorities are actively promoting the brand name “Hue - The Culinary Capital”. However, the city has yet true food tours (Food Tour) in a proper and structured manner.

Developing medical tourism and wellness tourism is an inevitable trend and a strategic direction for Hue City, considering its comparative advantages both locally and within the Southeast Asian region. The tourism sector of the Ancient Capital is set to focus on proper investment in wellness tourism, alongside its existing strengths in other tourism types.
