Climate change and increasingly extreme weather events are posing significant challenges to monument preservation. Hue Today Weekend interviewed Mr. Le Cong Son, Deputy Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, regarding proactive solutions to mitigate risks to Hue’s heritage.

Green transition requires businesses to accept higher upfront costs and change the way they operate. On May 15, the Sub-department of Irrigation and Climate Change under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in Vietnam, launched the project “Strengthening climate change resilience and adaptation capacity of urban areas in Central Vietnam”. The project is funded by the CRS (the USA).

Over the course of 2 days, from May 12 to 13, the Sub-Department of Irrigation and Climate Change, in coordination with the City Red Cross Society, organized a training course on first aid, rescue, and emergency response skills for disaster prevention and control task forces in 2026.

On the morning of March 30, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Bui Thanh Dung said that several adjustments will be introduced to the race stages in Hue as part of this year’s Ho Chi Minh City Television National Cycling Cup. The changes are expected to bring fresh and exciting experiences for both riders and fans.

On March 23, the City People's Committee held a working session with the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency (LuxDev) to discuss technical infrastructure projects, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Government of Luxembourg.

Not as common as apricot blossoms or chrysanthemums, daffodils can still be found in a few homes in Hue whenever spring returns.
