The year 2026, the first year of implementing Resolution 72-NQ/TW on breakthrough solutions for protecting and improving public health, marks a new turning point for healthcare in Hue City. On the afternoon of November 17, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Nguyen Tuong V., 2 years old - the recipient in the hospital’s fifth liver transplant performed entirely by its own team of doctors. This achievement marks a significant milestone, affirming the hospital’s ability to master the entire liver transplant process - from organ retrieval and liver splitting to transplantation and post-operative care.

Amid the complicated developments of recent flooding, Hue City Department of Health has rolled out a series of coordinated response measures to promptly relocate patients while ensuring the continuity of medical examinations, treatment, and public healthcare services.
