Along with pho, bun rieu, bun cha ca, banh canh, and others, bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) is one of the delicious Vietnamese dishes featured in the “Top 100 best soups in the world” list, recently announced by the renowned culinary website Taste Atlas.

The Vietnam Studies Center at Fulbright University Vietnam, in collaboration with the family of the late musician Trinh Cong Son, is launching the podcast series “Trinh Cong Son of mine & ours”. The first podcast episode, titled “Our home lies small”, featuring Mrs. Trinh Vinh Trinh, the late musician's youngest sister, as a guest, was released on Spotify on April 1, as a tribute to the late musician Trinh Cong Son on the anniversary of his death.

Once the sous chef of a five-star hotel in Hue and a multiple award-winning chef, Tran Huy Cuong took an unexpected turn in his career, venturing into entrepreneurship in his 50s. In the years from 1930 to 1937, painter Mai Trung Thu was appointed to teach drawing at Quoc Hoc High School. Here, his talent blossomed. Series of his paintings were born, depicting gentle Hue girls, the charming scenery of the Huong river and the temples and royal mausoleums. His paintings in Hue rendered him a solid position in modern Vietnamese painting.
