UNIQLO Vietnam presents gifts to support residents in flooding-affected areas in Hue City

HNN.VN - On November 13, at the 2nd Floor Hall of Pediatrics Center, Hue Central Hospital, Hope Foundation coordinated with UNIQLO Vietnam to hold a program titled “Gifts of Support for Pediatric Cancer Patients Affected by Floods”. The program was organized to encourage and share hardships with the young patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.

In the framework of the program, 100 gift portions and cash were personally handed over to 100 pediatric patients undergoing treatment at the Department of Oncology – Hematology – Bone Marrow Transplant.

Addressing the program, Mr. Akiyama Naoki, General Director of UNIQLO Vietnam, expressed that he was deeply moved by having a chance to accompany Hue Central Hospital in this meaningful activity. At the same time, he affirmed the company’s commitment in continuing its support for the community, especially children battling with serious illnesses. 

In that same afternoon, Hope Foundation and UNIQLO Vietnam also visited and presented Thuy Bieu Primary School in Thuy Xuan Ward 342 million VND to support the school’s recovery efforts after the floods. This is one of the schools located in the low-lying and deeply submerged areas during the recent floods, suffering serious damages in Hue City.

The charity event was jointly organized by the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project and the City Women Business Association.
