According to the information released by the Department of Tourism on the morning of August 20, based on survey data, the number of tourists to Hue during this year’s National Day holiday (September 2) is expected to keep on rising year-on-year, reaching an estimated 535,000 arrivals.

By hosting the Hue Heritage and International Music Festival 2026 - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026, which is scheduled from August 30 to September 1, alongside the National Day Holiday on September 2, Hue City is expected to witness a surge in tourist arrivals. This may lead to a local ‘fully booked’ situation at certain peak times. Drawing from the experience of the last April 30 - May 1 holiday, the local tourism sector is developing plans to enhance its reception capacity and service quality.

Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the morning of July 27, the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city held an incense-and-flower offering ceremony at Hue City Martyrs’ Cemetery to honor and pay tribute to heroic martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and the defense of the Fatherland.
