On September 21st, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, received a delegation from Waseda University and the University of Tsukuba (Japan). The working session focused on research and implementation of a project on disaster prevention and control, and adaptation to flooding and climate change in the city.

Changes in planning, infrastructure, and development space as Hue became a centrally governed municipality are opening up more room for the real estate market. However, experts said that this potential can translate into real value only when projects link to infrastructure, user demand, and the characteristics of a heritage city.

On September 15, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, conducted a field survey at My Thuy Port in Quang Tri Province and some industrial parks and key projects in the Northern area of Hue City.

With increasingly developed infrastructure, ample land available for development, and a clear focus on attracting high-quality investment, Hue City is opening up new opportunities to welcome both domestic and foreign investors.

Social housing projects in Hue City are increasingly focusing on investing in synchronized infrastructure, high-quality amenities, and smart technology. These improvements have helped change young people’s perceptions of this type of housing.

“Chan May - Lang Co needs to be developed into a growth hub for industry, logistics, services and tourism in Hue City and the central region. Every decision on infrastructure investment must focus on long-term effectiveness, synchronization, and a clear roadmap, while having the capacity to create breakthroughs in socio-economic development,” Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh emphasized that at a meeting with the Department of Industry and Trade and the Management Board of Hue City Economic and Industrial Zones on August 12 to discuss infrastructure investment in economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters, as well as investment attraction.

On the morning of August 9, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh conducted a field inspection of infrastructure supporting waterway tourism development on the Huong River, inspected the city’s urban flood drainage solutions, and checked on the progress in addressing coastal erosion at Thuan An beach.

At the 2nd Special Session of the 9th Hue City People's Council for the 2026 - 2031 term, which opened on the afternoon of July 26th, delegates approved two key resolutions: a list of six transport infrastructure projects to be implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, and a policy providing free general education textbooks beginning with the 2026 - 2027 academic year.

With its strategic geographic location, logistics infrastructure, special policy mechanisms, and commitment to green development, Hue City is positioning itself to attract high-quality investment capital. In an interview with Hue Today Weekly, Mr. Ha Van Tuan, Member of Hue City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, shared the city's strategic priorities and key solutions for achieving this goal in the future.

In the process of constructing a digital government, a digital economy, and a digital society, Hue City has gradually established a synchronized and modern digital infrastructure foundation. Nevertheless, realizing the goal of becoming a fully digital city requires not only strong commitment from local authorities but also the active participation of technology enterprises in infrastructure investment, solution deployment, and the sharing of hands-on experience.

After the renovation of Thuy Tien Lake Water Park (Thuy Bang Ward) and the comprehensive investment in transportation infrastructure in Thien An and Vong Canh Hill areas, by early 2025, visitors and locals alike will be amazed by the fresh and visually appealing landscape of this area.
