As part of the plan to stimulate tourism and service demand, Hue City is completing its infrastructure and implementing many solutions to develop the night-time economy to attract visitors.

Public investment resources play a significant role in speeding up economic, political, and social development, especially in the construction of economic and social infrastructure, creating a favorable environment for production, business, and enterprise activities. In the face of recent challenges in this field, Thua Thien Hue Weekly had a discussion with the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong.

Along with the investment in completing traffic infrastructure, lighting system and public utilities, Hue City has recently prioritized the resources to allocate investment capital to upgrade and restore communal houses, in order to contribute to the conservation and restoration of relics in the area.

As a central city with a vast area and a large population, especially after the expansion of its administrative boundaries, Hue City has focused on building e-government and smart city to create favorable conditions for local people as well as to improve the state management capacity of local staff, in addition to investing in completing its infrastructure and embellishing its cityscape.

Subsequent to one full year of Hue City administrative boundary expansion, the urban infrastructure from the central area to new communes and wards has been connected and perfected, contributing to the socio-economic development promotion. The Weekend Thua Thien Hue correspondent had a talk with Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, Mr. Vo Le Nhat.

After more than 2 years of temporarily closing the Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau Pedestrian Street (abbreviated to Pedestrian Street), since early May 2022, Hue City has restarted nightlife activities and invested in infrastructure in preparation for the opening of food and shopping streets in order to satisfy the entertainment needs of residents and tourists.

Infrastructure plays a crucial role and acts as the basis for the development and formation of new urban areas (NUAs). NUAs are gradually invested in construction, synchronized in terms of technical and social infrastructure, thereby attracting a lot of domestic and foreign investment capital.

After a long time carrying out the preparation of infrastructure as well as art activities and programs, on the night of April 22, the People’s Committee of Hue city will officially hold the opening ceremony of the Imperial Citadel night street zone.

Late 2021, Hue City People's Committee was honored with the Golden Award in the Second National Urban Planning Awards with the project “Detailed planning on two banks of the Huong River”. This is both an honor and a motivation for the city to continue to invest in improving infrastructure and landscape for a highlight for the space on the riverbanks.
