By day, they are music teachers, bakers, or bartenders; by night, they become singers and musicians on small stages of coffee shops and community music nights. It is this very passion that helps many young people in Hue keep the flame of music alive, contributing to an accessible and vibrant live music scene.

On July 22nd, 2026, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 4538/BVHTTDL-DSVH to Hue City People’s Committee, expressing its support for Hue in preparing an application to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the field of Gastronomy. This is an important step, providing further political and professional support for the city to concentrate resources, complete its application and work toward the 2027 selection cycle.

The 8th Hue Thanh Tra Pomelo Festival 2026, with the theme 'The Sweetness Once Offered to Kings', will take place from August 29th to 31st, organized by Thuy Xuan Ward People’s Committee.

A procession of boats taking part in the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Hon Chen Temple) traveled one after another from downtown Hue City upstream along the Huong River toward Mount Ngoc Tran, creating a lively atmosphere on the river.

On the afternoon of August 19th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh led a delegation on a field trip to inspect investment and production activities at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone and Phu Bai Industrial Park. On the morning of August 14th, Hue City Association of the Blind held a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the Vocational Training and Employment Center for the Blind (August 17th, 2006 - August 17th, 2026). Over the past two decades, the Center has made sustained efforts in vocational training and job creation, helping people with visual impairments gradually build confidence, become more self-reliant, and achieve greater stability in their lives.

Organized by Hue City People's Committee on the afternoon of August 14 under the theme ‘Converging Excellence - Spreading Hue's Identity’, the event was attended by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of Hue City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

On August 12, Hue City Rehabilitation Hospital, in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs and VietHealth Orthopedic Co. Ltd., launched a program to provide medical examinations, consultations, assessments, maintenance, and repairs of prosthetic limbs for people who have made contributions to the revolution in Hue City.
