Thanks to the application of artificial intelligence (AI), many of Hue’s heritage values are being retold by young people in an entirely new “language”. Historic structures and symbolic cultural icons, long associated with an atmosphere of antiquity and quiet elegance, are now being brought to life through digital creations, contributing to taking Hue Ancient Capital’s image closer to young audiences.

The people of Hue, no one knows exactly since when, but on the full moon (15th day) and the first day of each lunar month, many eateries close, and quite a few meat and fish stalls at the market also stop selling. Many places that normally serve meat-based dishes switch to vegetarian food instead.

The short film ‘Trong Thuc’ (‘The Drumbeat of Awakening’) is a project created by a team of students in Hue. By approaching tuong through the language of cinema, these young people are exploring new approaches to preserving and spreading cultural heritage.

On the evening of June 5th, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival - Region II held a public exchange and parade program for residents and visitors along major streets in Hue City.

On June 4, a delegation from Hue City, led by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, had a conference to meet with Chinese tourism businesses and investors in Beijing, China. Premiering in August 2025 and surpassing 700 billion VND in box office revenue, the film “Red Rain” (“Mua Do”) created an unprecedented box office phenomenon for a Vietnamese political and historical film. What few people know is that the person behind the film's music, touching the hearts of millions of viewers, is musician Cao Dinh Thang - a young man born and raised in Hue.

On the morning of June 2, the People's Committee of Phong Phu Ward, in collaboration with SCAVI Hue Company, organized the SCAVI Hue Job Fair 2026 under the theme “Connecting opportunities - Shaping the future”.

On May 31 (the 15th day of the fourth lunar month), the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Hue City solemnly held the Grand Vesak Celebration, Buddhist Calendar 2570 at the Executive Board’s headquarters - Tu Dam Pagoda (Thuan Hoa Ward), in the joyful presence of thousands of monks, nuns, Buddhists, and people from near and far.

On the morning of May 30, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, had a courtesy meeting with a delegation from enCity Joint Stock Consulting Company (Singapore). The delegation was led by Mr. James Chew, Director of Planning and Investment at enCity and former senior planning and development official at Singapore’s Ministry of National Development and the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
