Over two days (June 20 - 21), Hue City’s Cardiology Association, in collaboration with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the City, Hue Central Hospital, and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s Hospital, organized the 4th Ancient Capital Congress of Cardiology.

In the second phase of the 2025 Aptitude Test organized by Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Mai Quang Minh Tri, a grade 12th student specialized in mathematics at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, earned the highest score with 1.122 points.

On the afternoon of June 19, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Member of Hue Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, held a working session with the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to discuss cooperation on investment promotion and expanding air connectivity, contributing to effectively operate Terminal T2 of Phu Bai International Airport.

In addition to his field assignments, Van Thang, a journalist, (from Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper, stationed in Hue City and Quang Tri Province) is also known for his philanthropic work that have helped many people in difficult circumstances.

On June 18, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Xuan Ward (Hue City) held a program to present gifts to students overcoming difficulties to achieve excellent academic results in the 2024 - 2025 academic year.

Phuoc Tich is an ancient village located in Phong Hoa Ward, Phong Dien Town, Hue City. The village was established in 1470. Though small, Phuoc Tich boasts 12 river wharfs, symbolizing the 12 founding families who first settled the land. Along with the founding of the village, migrants from Đàng Ngoài (Outer Realm) who came to this land to make a living also brought with them the traditional craft of pottery.

A professional training course for swimming and diving instructors in Hue City is being held from June 16th to 20th at the Sports Center swimming pool. The course is jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Sports and Hue Help.

On the morning of June 16, Hue City’s Youth Union, in coordination with Hue City Military Command, organized the opening ceremony for the “Military Semester” program in 2025.

Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 1, heavy rainfall occurred in Hue City, causing significant damage to people and property. Currently, units and localities in low-lying areas have mobilized maximum resources and machinery to overcome the aftermath of the floods.

On the afternoon of June 13 at the Indochine Palace Hotel (Hue City), the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024 convened a press conference to unveil details about the National Final Round, which will be hosted in the former imperial capital of Hue for the first time.
