The program is scheduled to take place from December 19 to 21, 2025, with the opening and closing ceremonies due to be held at the Nghinh Luong Dinh Pavilion area. This is a key activity within the city's series of activities to support people with disabilities in 2025. It follows the success of the program in 2023, which saw the participation of over 5,000 athletes, including more than 1,500 children and people with disabilities.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s program is expected to attract approximately 4,000 - 6,000 participants, including officials, civil servants, public employees, members of the armed forces, students, workers, the elderly, people with disabilities, and a large number of residents from both within and outside the city. The athletes will compete in two distances: 5km, and 7km; along routes appropriately designed to ensure the safety and to be convenient for people with disabilities.

The highlight of the program is the spirit of inclusion and humanity. People with disabilities and children aged 10 to under 16 are 100% exempt from registration fees. Other athletes will contribute 100,000 VND per person (which will go toward organizing the event, and supporting the livelihoods of people with disabilities in difficult circumstances). All athletes who successfully complete their registered distance will be awarded medals and souvenirs.

Currently, the organization of the event is being implemented synchronously with the coordination of many departments, agencies, units, and localities. The Department of Health is the lead unit, coordinating with relevant departments and agencies to ensure security and order, traffic safety, medical support, environmental sanitation, and communications. In particular, the safety of the athletes, especially those with disabilities, is given top priority.
