Vietnam Airlines provides 1 billion VND and 2.000 blankets to support disaster-affected residents
HNN.VN - On the afternoon of December 15th, at the conference hall of Hue City People’s Committee, Vietnam Airlines (Vietnam National Airlines Corporation) presented financial and in-kind support of 1 billion VND and 2,000 warm blankets in total to Hue City to help address damage caused by recent storms and flooding.

At the handover ceremony, Mrs. Huynh Thi Tuong Van, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Branch of Vietnam Airlines, expressed her sympathy for the difficulties and losses endured by the authorities and people of Hue City due to natural disasters. She also conveyed the airline’s desire to join hands with the locality to help overcome the consequences of storms and floods as soon as possible and stabilize residents’ lives.
Speaking at the reception ceremony, Mrs. Pham Thi Ai Nhi, Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, stated that in recent times, Hue City has focused on firmly directing post-disaster recovery efforts, prioritizing support for residents to quickly stabilize their livelihoods, restore production and business activities, ensure social welfare, and gradually revive socio-economic activities across the area.
Vice Chairwoman Pham Thi Ai Nhi respectfully thanked Vietnam Airlines for its timely and compassionate support to Hue City, affirming that the contribution represents not only material assistance but also significant moral encouragement, demonstrating the enterprise’s sense of social responsibility and spirit of solidarity with the community.
On this occasion, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City also presented Vietnam Airlines with a “Golden Heart” Certificate, recognizing the airline’s noble gesture in supporting post-disaster recovery efforts in 2025.
