On the morning of July 3, hundreds of people wearing the traditional ao-dai took part in the “Ao Dai Connecting Tourism and Heritage” event, held at the forecourt of Quoc Tu Giam historical site of Hue Imperial Citadel (on 23 Thang 8 St., Phu Xuan Ward).

On June 19th, a working delegation from Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, led by Vice Chairwoman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha, had a meeting with Hue City People's Committee to exchange experience in heritage management, preservation, and promotion in connection with tourism development and cultural industries.

In line with the policy of expanding foreign relations and international cooperation in the People’s Public Security Force, as well as the 2026 cooperation plan between Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior, from June 16 to 20, 2026, a delegation from Hue City Police, led by Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of Hue City Police, had a official visit to Siem Reap Provincial Police in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

On May 17th, the People’s Committee of Hue City held a closing and award ceremony for the 19th Hue City Youth and Children Innovation Contest in 2026. On the evening of May 7, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Ha Van Tuan had a meeting with investors at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone to review the implementation progress of industrial, logistics, seaports, and service infrastructure projects in the area.

On the morning of April 10, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Ha Van Tuan had a courtesy meeting with the working delegation from Baosteel Can Making Co. Ltd., (Hue - Vietnam), led by Mr. Wu Jian Peng.

Along with nearly 76,5 million voters nationwide, close to one million voters in Hue City have just joyfully taken part in the Election Day on March 15th, 2026, achieving an outstanding result: 99,99% voter turnout in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. Beyond the turnout figure, what stands out is the widespread joy and excitement across all regions, as well as the confidence and hope of people from all walks of life placed in a streamlined government, one with sufficient capability and strength to lead the country into a new era of prosperity, civility, and happiness. After more than 10 days of activities, Hue Spring Festival of the year of the Horse 2026, themed “Identity and Integration” organized by the People’s Committee of Hue City, officially concluded on the afternoon of February 21 (the 5th day of the Lunar January) at Ly Tu Trong Park (Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward).

Ask the people of Hue what flower they love most, and most will likely answer: the apricot blossom. To put it more formally, “hoang mai” - yellow apricot, without a doubt. Don’t believe it? Come to Hue and see for yourself! There’s a whole movement called “Yellow apricot blossom in front of the entrance”; a completed research project on “Conservation and development of Hue’s yellow apricot variety (Hue’s Hoang mai)”; a scientific conference on developing Hue’s Hoang mai into a key local product, aimed at successfully realizing the project to build Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) into Vietnam’s yellow apricot homeland. My friend, journalist Minh Tu, even published a book called “In front of the house stands a yellow apricot tree”, which sold out instantly, was reprinted, and translated into foreign languages to great acclaim.
