Hue, a central region with harsh weather. The summer sun burns the skin, and the rainy season brings constant flooding, making it very difficult to grow flowers. Yet, Hue has changed a lot. Visitors returning from afar, after strolling through Hue’s streets, are often surprised and delighted, exclaiming: “Hue has so many beautiful flowers these days!”

Over more than 67 years of construction and development, Hue University has become a center for training high-quality human resources for the Central - Central Highlands Region and the entire country. With highly skilled personnel and modern equipment, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) has saved many difficult cases, affirming its reputation as a high-tech specialized medical center in the region.

The generation of national literary writers born in the Year of the Snake in Hue left a notable mark with many respected authors. Each one brought their own distinctive qualities, enriching and beautifying the literature of the region, making the cultural identity of Hue even stronger. This became even clearer and stronger when Hue became a centrally governed city.

On the morning of January 1, Hue City Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Central Region Airport Authority at Phu Bai International Airport, Phu Bai International Airport, and the Vietnam Airlines branch in Hue, along with Pacific Airlines organized a program to welcome the first flight and visitors to Hue City in 2025. Attending the event was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee.

On the afternoon of December 13, the Museum of Nature of the Central Coastal Region held a scientific conference on 15 years of establishment and on the orientation for the development of the Museum in the period of 2025 - 2030.

On the morning of September 29, the project of Hue – Plastic Reduction Urban in the Central region of Vietnam, funded by WWF-Norway (through WWF-Vietnam and received by the People’s Committee of Hue City) in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Hue City organized a ceremony to hand over 2 garbage trucks worth nearly 10 billion VND.

On the morning of September 21, AEON MALL Hue officially held its grand opening. This is the 7th AEON MALL shopping center in Vietnam, and the first one in the Central region.

On September 12th, at the Provincial Center for Culture and Art, the Department of Science and Technology (S&T) inaugurated an exhibition showcasing technological devices, science and technology products, innovations, and creative startup (CS) products, as well as key products from the North Central and Central Coastal regions.

On August 19, the opening ceremony of the Fine arts Exhibition of the Region IV (the Northern-central region) 2024 was held at the Exhibition - Fair - Advertising Center of Thanh Hoa province, the Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station.
