National men student football tournament kicks off

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of October 12th, at the Sports and Cultural Center Stadium of Phu Xuan Ward (Hue City), the Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with Vietnam University and Professional Sports Association and Hue University and Professional Sports Association, held the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Men Student Football Tournament - TV360 Cup, Central Region.

In his opening speech, Dr. Bui Van Loi, Deputy Director in charge of Hue University, Chairman of Hue University and Professional Sports Association, and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that the tournament is an annual sporting event of practical significance in promoting physical training among students. It also serves as an opportunity for exchange and learning among universities and colleges in the central region, contributing to the discovery and nurturing of young football talents in preparation for the national finals.

This year’s tournament brings together eight teams representing Hue University, University of Economics, University of Law, University of Sciences, Hue College of Industry, Vinh University, Vinh University of Technology Education, and Nha Trang University. Teams are divided into two groups and will compete in a round-robin format, with the top team from each group advancing to the final.

The tournament takes place from October 12th to 17th, with main sponsorship from TV360 (Viettel Group) and JOGARBOLA, the official supplier of match balls. Immediately following the opening ceremony, the first match took place between the University of Law - Hue University and Vinh University of Technology Education.
