On the morning of October 5, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh inspected the preparations for Viettel Y-Fest 2025 event at Ngo Mon Square. The event is organized by Viettel Telecom (Viettel Telecommunications Corporation) under the theme “SYNC OF HEART - Harmonizing Empathy.”

Not only reaching the strong growth in visitor numbers, but the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 has also created a ripple effect in promoting the destination’s image and positioning the Ancient Capital’s tourism brand name among businesses and visitors. After the success of the first season, the rock show organized by Hue Capital Rock in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sciences, Hue University is returning with its second season.

In 2005, I was fortunate to meet Dang Van Viet, a revered elder, in Hue, where he had come from Hanoi to join the 60th anniversary of the Frontline Youth School. On the afternoon of September 18th in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha received a delegation of revolutionary contributors from Hue City on the occasion of their visit to the capital and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Each FDI project serves as a piece in the mosaic of Hue’s growth. The inflow of capital enriches resources while bringing advanced technology and modern governance, opening pathways to integration and helping Hue steadily establish its foothold in the global value chain.

Together with the Huong River - Ngu Mountain, the conical hat and the purple ao dai of Hue Women are also a symbolic cultural combo that is deeply connected with the locals in the Ancient Capital. Hue is taking steps to build a model of sustainable development, where the economic growth does not come at the expense of the cultural identity. In the modern life the city still maintains its soul, considering the green fund the foundation for a future of harmony and distinction.

A kite originating from Hue, which has been preserved for nearly 60 years in a museum in the United States, was discovered by a Vietnamese restoration expert. Through numerous accompanying documents, together with a passion for cultural roots, that expert “told the story” about how the kite was ordered in Hue Ancient Capital, then taken all the way to the U.S., and became an artistic artifact, etc…. It was truly fascinating.

With the development trends of the new era, many craft villages have fallen into decline, with fragmented production, a lack of capital, and outdated technology. These difficulties are major barriers that cause traditional crafts to lose their place in today's socio-economic life gradually.
