Free Entrance to Hue Heritage Sites on August 19 and September 2
HNN.VN - On August 19 and September 2, Vietnamese citizens will be granted free admission to heritage sites managed by Hue Monuments Conservation Center. The initiative offers an opportunity for visitors to explore Hue’s heritage during the public holidays, while gaining deeper understanding of the historical and cultural values of the Ancient Capital.

According to Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the heritage sites will offer free admission from 7:00 to 17:30 on August 19 and September 2. Visitors only need to present their citizen ID cards to enter several heritage sites, including Hue Imperial Citadel, the mausoleums of Emperors Tu Duc, Khai Dinh and Minh Mang, Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, An Dinh Palace, and Hon Chen Temple…
The policy of entrance ticket exemption is introduced to mark the 81th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2026) and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
During this festive period, Hue Nam Temple Festival will take place from August 20 to 22; the International Music and Heritage Week - Hue Wonderverse Fest 2026 is scheduled from August 30 to September 1 at the City Cultural and Sports Square, and an artistic program celebrating Vietnam’s National Day will be held on the night of August 30 at Hai Ba Trung pedestrian street.
Furthermore, the Hue Sports Festival 2026, a sports festival for community health, will take place from August 15 to 30 at various venues across the city. Meanwhile, the 37th Hue Traditional Boat Racing Championship will be held on the Perfume River to mark Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.
The line-up of cultural and artistic activities will continue into September, with the Hue Unicorn Dance Festival scheduled from September 18-20; a Unicorn - Lion - Dragon Dance parade and Mid-Autumn lantern procession will take place on September 21; and the “Hue Tuong - Echoes of the Past” program will be held on September 22.
At Hue Imperial Citadel, the ‘Imperial Full Moon Night’ program will take place on September 25, followed by the program ‘Gui gio cho may ngan bay’ by Nguyen Dinh Tuan Dung, a singer, on September 26. These activities will contribute to offering more diverse cultural and artistic spaces for tourists and the community.
