The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the uncertain global economic and political situation, has directly affected the export sector. However, thanks to efforts to diversify markets and export goods, Thua Thien Hue's merchandise export turnover reached 1.1 billion USD in 2023, creating momentum for a breakthrough in 2024.

Over 20 paintings depicting Hue heritages by Le Huu Long - an artist, have just been introduced to the public in an exhibition titled “Vong Hue,” opened on the afternoon of January 10th at Song Huong Magazine (9 Pham Hong Thai Street, Hue City).

On the morning of January 6, at the National Hero Memorial of Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue (An Tay Ward, Hue City), Hue City People's Committee held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 235th anniversary of Nguyen Hue’s Coronation and dispatching army to defeat the Qing army. The ceremony was attended by representative leaders of the city, departments, branches, unions and people in the area.

On the afternoon of January 4, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology – Hue University coordinated with CoTAI Startup Studio, and high schools in the provincial area to hold a festival of experiencing artificial intelligence called “AI Open Day 2024”.
