| Leaders of the Department of Tourism and Tourism Association awarded commendations to hotels with outstanding achievements |
In 2024, Hue tourism welcomed over 3.9 million visitors, an increase of nearly 22% compared to 2023; including nearly 1.45 million international visitors, an increase of nearly 17% compared to 2023; there were 2.5 million domestic visitors, an increase of 25% compared to 2023. Notably, the occupancy rate increased by about 10% compared to the previous year.
According to Mr. Ho Dang Xuan Lan, Chairman of Hue City Hotel Association, a highlight is that in 2024, many businesses and hotels in Hue won prestigious awards; among them, the Silk Path Grand Hue hotel received the ASEAN MICE Venue Award 2024 - Event Venue category; the Azerai La Residence Hue was honored in the category of Best Upcountry Hotels in Vietnam - the prestigious Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024; and the Saigon Morin Hue Co., Ltd. received the Vietnam Golden Star Award 2024, etc.
Mr. Dinh Manh Thang, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association, Chairman of Hue City Tourism Association, evaluated that 2024 was the year when Hue City Hotel Association made great changes in its leadership and achieved many positive results, becoming an extension of the management agencies for tourism and the Tourism Association, contributing to the development of the tourism sector. There are many important events in 2025, marking the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025), Hue is assigned to host the Visit Vietnam Year, and the city will co-organize the final round of Miss Vietnam 2025, along with many other important activities. The Hotel Association is requested to promote the achieved results, strive to accompany and contribute to the overall success.
To ensure good service for guests during the Visit Vietnam Year, Hue City Hotel Association will focus on solutions, pay attention to accommodation infrastructure, products and services, cuisine; security, safety, fire prevention and fighting, as well as environmental hygiene..., being ready to serve major events. The Hotel Association will also join the Tourism Association in participating in major events to promote tourism of the Ancient Capital.
