Hue University’s foremost priority is to establish a strategic vision and create new growth momentum to develop into an excellent university. Its development strategy must align closely with the Party’s and the State’s policies, as well as the Higher Education Development Strategy for 2026 - 2035 with a vision toward 2045, while staying connected to the development of Hue City, and the Central and Central Highlands regions.
The feature report titled “Keng Keng… The Sound of the Gong” by Anh Phong explores a distinctive sound found in rural villages - the sound of the gong.
Amid the pace of modern life, with smartphones, social media, and public broadcasting systems reaching villages, the sound of the gong may seem to have faded into the past. Yet in the low-lying areas along the Tam Giang Lagoon, such as Dan Dien and Quang Dien, its familiar ‘keng keng’ still echoes in the memories of generations, and occasionally serves as a vital warning signal during times of danger. More than a means of communication from a bygone era, it is also the sound of neighborly bonds and the enduring spirit of community that has stood the test of time.
