Officers and soldiers of Division 968 left a positive impression on Hue people

During their time of helping Hue City people in overcoming the aftermath of the floods, with the spirit of “the people come first”, over 500 officers and soldiers of Division 968 overcame all difficulties and hardships to work actively and responsibly to assist the people with the highest dedication.

During 12 days of carrying out their mission, the unit was deployed to assist in recovery efforts across 10 wards and communes. Their work focused on supporting schools, medical facilities, hospitals, martyrs’ cemeteries, wholesale and local markets, as well as key transportation routes. The soldiers undertook various tasks such as dredging mud and soil, cleaning up waste, arranging furniture, wiping and cleaning students’ learning materials, and helping local authorities dredge and clear canals and irrigation systems, etc.

Throughout the mission, the officers and soldiers consistently demonstrated their courage and solidarity, embodying the spirit of “sacrificing for the people”. They stayed closely engaged with local communities, overcame challenging weather conditions, and deployed personnel and equipment with precise focus and effectiveness. The Division’s officers and soldiers strictly followed the orders of their commanders, maintained strong discipline and exemplary conduct, worked diligently and efficiently, and ensured absolute safety for both personnel and equipment.

The dedication and sense of responsibility shown by the officers and soldiers of the Division not only made a great contribution to helping the people of Hue City quickly stabilize their lives after the floods but also further glorified the noble image of soldiers in peacetime and highlighted the shining virtues of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” in the hearts of the people.
