The “Humanitarian Tet” program for Binh Ngo Spring 2026 provided 1,000 Tet gift packages to disadvantaged households, elderly people living alone, orphaned children, victims of Agent Orange, as well as other vulnerable groups, and residents affected by natural disasters in 2025 across the city. Each gift package was valued at VND 1,000,000, comprising VND 600,000 in cash and VND 400,000 worth of Tet gifts, with a total value of VND 1 billion.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, affirmed that the “Humanitarian Tet” program was a deeply humane initiative that embodied the national tradition of mutual support and solidarity. The program reflected the care and concern of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Red Cross, and society as a whole for the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable groups within the community, ensuring that everyone and every household can celebrate Spring and enjoy Tet.

The activities not only provided practical assistance but also spread compassion and solidarity, strengthening trust and resilience among beneficiaries and encouraging them to overcome difficulties in life, thereby contributing to the reinforcement of the great national unity.
In addition to gift-giving activities, the humanitarian space of “Humanitarian Tet” market also offered a wide range of events rich in cultural identity, including traditional folk games, community service booths, health check-ups and consultations, advocacy on organ and tissue donation, free haircuts, and calligraphy gifting. These activities enabled residents to choose essential goods, receive healthcare services, and celebrate the Lunar New Year in an atmosphere of respect and sharing, ensuring that every gift is delivered with warmth and genuine compassion.
