On the morning of December 9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference to hear reports on the progress of Quang Trung Campaign - an accelerated drive to rebuild and repair homes for families whose houses were collapsed, swept away, or severely damaged during the recent storms and floods.

On the afternoon of December 8, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh received and worked with a delegation from the city of Cergy (French Republic) led by Mr. Moussa Diarra, Deputy Mayor in charge of International Cooperation.

On December 6th, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) provided financial support to help residents of Hue City recover from the damage caused by the recent floods. Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, received and worked with the delegation.

Responding to the Call for support from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City to help the People of Hue City overcome the consequences of natural disaster, on December 4, representatives of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO group) visited the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to present a donation of 2 billion VND.

On December 2 and 3, a working delegation from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, visited and presented financial support to South Central provinces to overcome damage after typhoons and floods.

On the afternoon of December 2, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, held an official meeting with ISET organization (The U.S), led by Mr. Michael Szönyi, Director of the Climate Resilience Alliance, Z. Zurich Foundation, and Ms. Karen Mac Clune, Executive Director of ISET in the U.S.

Along with social welfare activities, banks in the area have been surveying the damage sustained by customers affected by floods. Based on this, they proposed timely support measures to help residents and businesses overcome difficulties.

On the afternoon of November 27, the working delegation of Ton Dong A Corporation presented a great number of school supplies to support students in the city area in overcoming damages caused by the recent floods.

On the afternoon of November 26th, the Youth Union of Hue Central Hospital (HCH), in coordination with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and the People’s Committee of Hung Loc Commune, organized a program providing medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine to residents affected by the prolonged flooding. This humanitarian activity aims to help people quickly stabilize their physical and mental well-being and proactively prevent diseases in the post-disaster period.

The chrysanthemum fields grown for the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse in Thanh Thuy Ward have been devastated, leaving flower growers with heavy hearts. Everything they have cultivated over the past three months has been swept away by floodwaters.
