The training focused on equipping participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to enhance child protection efforts within the community. Trainees learned theoretical content through modules on reproductive health care for girls, an overview of water safety education, and principles of drowning prevention. Topics such as identifying drowning risks at home and in surrounding areas, hazards associated with floodwaters, and safety rules when participating in waterway traffic were also presented in detail.

The program prioritised practical exercises, where participants were guided on how to properly wear life jackets, practice indirect rescue techniques using flotation devices or poles, perform throwing techniques with support items for victims, and handle situations when they or others face water-related emergencies. Notably, the first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practice sessions helped trainees grasp procedures for managing unconscious victims, victims who have stopped breathing, and other crucial skills needed for timely intervention before professional responders arrive.

Through this training, Hue City Children’s Rights Protection Association hopes that its staff and members will strengthen their awareness and practical skills, thereby becoming more proactive in educating children and the broader community about water safety. This is a meaningful activity that contributes to reducing the risk of drowning and building a safer living environment for children across the city.
