Guidance on first aid skills for drowning victims

More than 600 students received information and skills for drowning prevention. Through presentations combined with slideshows, they were taught water safety skills and how to respond when encountering victims. They also received guidance on first aid skills for drowning victims.

During the propaganda process, many questions were given to help students demonstrate and reinforce their understanding of the related content, and to apply the skills in real-life situations. Students who answered correctly were to receive gifts.

“This activity enhances the role and responsibility of agencies and units in preventing and minimizing drowning incidents among adolescents, especially during the upcoming rainy and stormy season. It also strengthens propaganda work, and improves knowledge and safety skills to students to prevent and respond to drowning accidents,” said Major Nguyen Xuan Lam, Political Commissar of the Chan May Port Border Guard Station.
