More than 1,5 billion VND mobilized to support thousands of children

HNN.VN - On the morning of January 30th, Hue Association for Protection of Child's Rights held a conference to review its activities in 2025 and deploy directions and tasks for 2026.

Although 2025 was a year marked by many changes in the administrative apparatus and severe impacts from natural disasters, Hue Association for Protection of Child’s Rights made strong efforts to overcome difficulties and effectively implement many practical programs and activities. Communication and training activities to raise community awareness of children’s rights, as well as the prevention of violence, abuse, accidents, injuries, and drowning, were promoted through a wide range of formats. The Association also organized forums, mock trials, and life-skills education programs, contributing to improving legal awareness among children, parents, and the community.

In the field of social welfare, the Association coordinated and mobilized more than 1,5 billion VND during the year, benefiting thousands of children and families.

The conference agreed on directions and tasks for 2026, focusing on strengthening the organizational capacity of the Association, expanding the grassroots collaborator network, continuing to promote communication and life-skills education, enhancing supervision and social feedback, and mobilizing socialized resources to improve the effectiveness of child rights protection in the city.

Within the framework of the conference, the Association presented 50 Tet gift packages to children in difficult circumstances.

Phu Vang: Inauguration of swimming pool to prevent drowning for students

On June 2, at Phu Xuan Secondary School, the Office of Education and Training of Phu Vang District, in coordination with the “Enhancing Community Capacity” Project, held an inauguration ceremony of a swimming pool to help prevent students from drowning at Phu Xuan Secondary School, and launched a swimming and rescue training program for primary and secondary school students in Phu Vang District in 2025.

A professional training course for swimming and diving lifeguards in 2025, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, is taking place from May 15 to 19 at the city's Sports Center (the swimming pool at 2 Le Quy Don Street).
