| Teachers and students rehearse artistic program for the school’s 130th anniversary celebration |
According to a report by Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, the school has so far carried out preparations in communications, yearbook compilation, documentary production, exhibition, artistic programs, reception and logistics, student activities, and alumni engagement.
The school has completed its communications plan, as well as the collection and classification of materials for the compilation of the yearbook titled ‘Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted: 130 Years of Construction and Development’. The collection of photographs, artifacts, and mementos from generations of teachers and alumni for the exhibition is currently underway.
In addition, plans for the traditional camp, exchange booths, and experiential spaces for students and alumni are being finalized. The school is also connecting generations of alumni at home and abroad and mobilizing resources for gratitude projects under the ‘My Beloved Quoc Hoc School’ Project.
At the meeting, relevant agencies focused on discussing and clarifying difficulties and obstacles encountered in implementing the preparations, particularly those related to facilities, landscaping, and the organization of the anniversary celebration. They also agreed on solutions, assigned responsibilities, and set an implementation schedule for the coming period.
According to the plan of Hue City People’s Committee, the anniversary program will include a ceremony to offer incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and outstanding generations of teachers and students; a ceremony marking the school’s 130th anniversary; and an artistic program titled ‘Quoc Hoc - 130 Years of Continuous Legacy’.
The anniversary program will also feature a wide range of other activities such as a seminar on developing a pool of outstanding students for the school from the secondary level, the “130 Years of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School” exhibition, a quiz on the school, and the ‘Return to the Old School’ program.
On this occasion, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted also proposed that the relevant authorities consider awarding the school the Third-Class Independence Order to mark its 130th anniversary.
