Confirming the quality of a standardized training center

Dr. Tran Nhat, Vice Rector of Nguyen Chi Thanh School of Politics, said that, as a reputable center for political theory education and professional development that has been recognized as meeting Level 1 standards, the school continues to enhance both the quality and scale of its training programs. Each year, it organizes dozens of Intermediate-Level Political Theory courses, as well as training programs in state management, civil service ranks, and professional titles for thousands of officials, civil servants, and public employees within the local political system.

Alongside its domestic training responsibilities, Nguyen Chi Thanh School of Politics has proactively coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to strengthen international cooperation, recruit students, and organize training programs for officials from Lao localities.

To date, the school has organized and is currently conducting six training and professional development courses for 309 Lao participants. These include three one-month courses on leadership and management skills for 180 participants and three Intermediate-Level Political Theory courses for 129 participants. Of the latter, two classes comprising 99 students have completed the program and graduated, while one class of 30 students is currently undertaking full-time study in accordance with regulations governing schools of politics issued by Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

To assess post-training outcomes, the school regularly conducts surveys involving three groups: agencies employing the trained officials, the participants themselves, and lecturers directly involved in teaching the courses. The results indicate that the programs have a strong practical orientation. After returning to Laos, participating officials have effectively applied their management and administrative skills to address practical issues in their localities. Many have demonstrated strong professional competence and earned recognition during their careers, leading to their promotion to higher leadership positions within the administrations of the south-central Lao provinces.

At the seminar, representatives of the Schools of Politics and Public Administration of Salavan, Sekong, Champasak, and Savannakhet highly praised Hue City's practice-oriented training model. Leaders of the partner institutions affirmed that closer coordination and greater sharing of experience in developing curricula appropriate for international students, managing classes, and promoting scientific research are key to improving human resource quality and meeting the socio-economic development needs of the south-central Lao provinces in the new period.

Nurturing Vietnam - Laos friendship

Mr. Hoang Dang Khoa, Member of the City Party Committee and Rector of Nguyen Chi Thanh School of Politics, emphasized that Vietnam and Laos are close neighbors bound by a relationship of friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion.

Within this special relationship, cooperation in personnel training and professional development holds particular significance. Every official who receives systematic training and every piece of practical experience that is shared not only contributes to the development of individual localities but also helps pass the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Laos from one generation to the next.
