Students draw paintings about Ao dai and childhood

HNN.VN - More than 450 artworks by students were submitted to compete in the preliminary round of the 2025 Children’s Book-Inspired Drawing Contest with the theme “Ao dai and Childhood”.

The contest, organized by the Hue City Library, held its final round on the morning of June 6. The event was part of a series of activities in response to the Community Ao Dai Week.

From over 450 works, the organizing committee selected 50 artworks for the final round. Most of the pieces were created with the children’s innocent and personal perspectives. The paintings reflected children’s thoughts on life, memories, dreams, and feelings toward their families and homeland. Many works also offered interesting insights into cultural and historical heritage, people, and the beauty of the traditional Ao dai.

According to Hue City Library, this is an annual event aimed at discovering and nurturing children who have talent, aptitude, and passion for art. At the same time, the activity helps renew the library’s programs and services, at the same time creating a cultural, joyful, and healthy space for all students and book lovers. It also aims to spark interest and encourage children to read, thereby contributing to developing of a strong reading culture.

The organizers also selected the 30 best artworks to receive awards.
