350 residents of Quang Dien participate in voluntary blood donation campaign

HNN.VN - On August 6th, Quang Dien Commune Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee, in coordination with Hue Central Hospital Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center, organized the second voluntary blood donation campaign of 2026.

More than 350 residents from local government agencies, schools, and villages across Quang Dien Commune registered to participate in the campaign. Following health screenings, more than 250 donors were eligible, contributing over 250 units of blood.

Among the participants was Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh, from Tan Xuan Lai Village, Quang Dien Commune, who marked his 90th voluntary blood donation. More than 50 other volunteers participating in the campaign have each donated blood over 30 times.

Following the completion of the commune's two blood donation drives this year, Quang Dien Commune has contributed a total of 307 units of blood, helping healthcare facilities meet emergency transfusion needs for patients.
