Hue - Hanoi Fine Art Gathering

On the evening of June 16, the riverside stage along the Perfume River in front of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted once again drew large crowds of residents and visitors to enjoy performances as part of Hue International Music Week 2026.

The medium of watercolor may appear delicate, yet in the hands of skilled painters, it becomes a powerful means of expression. At the exhibition “There Is… a River”, visitors can experience both the talent of the painters and the distinctive allure of a medium known for its transparency, lightness, and poetic charm.

Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), Hue plans to present gifts from the State President to over 24,000 people with meritorious service and their families, with total funding reaching nearly VND 7.4 billion.

On the afternoon of June 14th, the Hue’s ‘Heritage Doors’ exhibition opened at Kien Trung Palace in Hue Imperial Citadel, introducing the public to dozens of remarkable artworks inspired by the heritage of the Ancient Capital. The event is part of Hue Festival 2026 and serves as a major artistic highlight attracting art enthusiasts, visitors, and members of the creative community.

Vietnam in the post-war years, the old streets of Hanoi and Saigon in the early 1970s, and the simple rhythms of life during the country's early years of economic reform are vividly brought to life through 27 remarkable photographic works by three French artists at the exhibition “Vietnam Crossroads”, which opened on the afternoon of June 13th.
