The core squad of Hue Hometown FC

The club was established to promote sports and physical fitness, strengthen exchanges and connections among Hue residents living, studying, and working in Ho Chi Minh City. Furthermore, it will also represent the Hue community in Ho Chi Minh City to join amateur football tournaments, thereby promoting the image/s of Hue people as united, warm-hearted, and rich in cultural identity.
At the launch ceremony, Hue Hometown FC introduced its leadership, coaching staff, player roster, official kit for the 2026 season, and sponsoring partners.
Mr. Ton That Thinh, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue Fellow Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City, was elected as Chief Executive Officer of the club. The coaching staff comprises Mr. Duc Thien, Mr. Huy Ken, Mr. Anh Tai, Mr. Ngoc Tin, and Mr. Xuan Phu. The squad brings together many experienced players who have competed in high-quality amateur football tournaments, along with several players developed from professional football training academies.
Under the plan, Hue Hometown FC will compete in the 2026 National Hometown Associations Football Tournament, scheduled to take place from August 9 to 23 at PM Sport Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.
In Group A, Hue Hometown FC will face Thuan Thanh - Ca Mau on August 9, Prado Gia Lai on August 11, then compete with Thanh Hoa Hometown Association team on August 13. Guided by the message ‘United - Connected - Reaching Further’ and the spirit of ‘Together for the pride of Hue’. Hue Hometown FC aims to make its mark at the tournament while serving as a strong bridge connecting people from Hue living away from their hometown.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Xuan Vinh, President of Hue Fellow Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City, informed that the club is expected to lay the foundation for a well-structured model of community sports, contributing to a more united and dynamic image of Hue Fellow Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City.
