The exterior of Terminal T2 at Phu Bai International Airport is modeled after the image of Hue Imperial Palace

The Terminal T2 - Phu Bai is invested by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and designed by a group of architects, including Kyo Ariyoshi, Nguyen Dang Quang, Hiroyuki Enomoto, and Pham Tien Thang. It was put into operation in June 2023.

The building is impressive with its modern structural design, harmoniously blending with the traditional cultural and historical elements of Hue Ancient Capital. Its exterior simulates the image of Hue Imperial Palace with stylized overlapping roofs. The interior space is open, friendly, and utilizes natural light through sophisticated architectural details. With scientific forecasts of passenger growth, this Terminal T2 is planned with great flexibility, making it easy to expand and operate efficiently.

The project is a testament to the philosophy of sustainable design, respecting the heritage and looking towards the future. The fact that Terminal T2 - Phu Bai received the national architecture award not only affirms the creative mark in airport infrastructure architecture, but also contributes to enhancing the cultural and architectural status of Hue City and Vietnam.

The National Architecture Gold Award is the highest national-level architecture award, organized biennially to honor outstanding architectural works.
