Representatives of 18 countries participate in the Tea Master International Competition in Hue

HNN.VN - On the morning of November 23, nearly 100 artisans and guests representing 18 countries presented at Century Hotel (Hue City) to attend the international workshop “Developing culinary - agricultural tourism and building the brand name of Vietnam tea culture”, and join the opening ceremony of the 4th Tea Master International 2018 competition.

The competition Tea Masters Cup International 2018 – Brew The Future takes place from the evening of November 23 to November 25 at Thanh Noi Hotel (Hue city) in order to exchange the experiences in processing, producing and brewing tea of international and Vietnamese experts. This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the speciality tea products of Vietnam in general and Thua Thien Hue in particular to all of the tea enterprises all over the world. 

With 4 main categories including Brewing tea (the skills of brewing and presenting 2 two kinds of tea); Tea and side dish (skill of combining a tea drink and a side dish); Tea Mixology (drinks that mix tea with another beverage) and Tasting tea (distinguishing model kinds of tea in a prepared tea set), the competition aims to honor the masters who are passionate and creative in brewing and displaying tea party.

The workshop as well as the competition will contribute to promoting Hue cuisine and tourism, especially highlighting the values of Hue through the combination of the culture of brewing and drinking tea and traditional culture, Hue heritages. During the time when the competition takes place in Hue, there are also many sideline activities such as heritage visiting, culinary and cultural tours, etc., on the land of the Ancient Capital.
