Hue City and Gyeongiu join forces to promote cooperation

Mr. Song Ho-jun, Deputy Mayor of Gyeongju City expressed his pleasure at visiting and attending the 5th Regional Conference of the Organization of World Heritage City - Asia Pacific (OWHC-AP) in Hue. Furthermore, he also thanked the city leaders for their warm and respectful welcome.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Song Ho-jun expressed his deep impression of the beauty of Hue Ancient Capital, and highly appreciated Hue’s potential and advantages for socio-economic development. He hoped that the two cities would further enhance their cooperation in various fields, from economy, culture to tourism, commerce, human resource training, and investment.

The Deputy Mayor of Gyeongju affirmed that he will continue to focus and promote cooperative activities in investment and tourism exchange, contributing to promoting the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general, and between Hue and Gyeongju in particular. The visit and working trip of Gyeongju City delegation have strengthened the cooperation and friendly relationship of the two cities, opening up various new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, economy, and education, heading to reach the joint sustainable development and prosperity in the coming time.

The Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh warmly welcomed the delegation coming to Hue and highly appreciated the effective cooperation between Hue City and Korean localities, including Gyeongju. At the same time, he also affirmed that Hue always values and wishes to maintain and expand cultural, artistic, educational - training exchange activities, especially within the framework of Hue Festival, and other programs for the preservation and promotion of cultural - historical heritage values.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh also expressed the hope to enhance cooperation in human resource training, promoting tourism, and connecting businesses from Gyeongju to invest in Hue. Hue City is always willing to create the most favorable conditions for Korean businesses and investors to explore opportunities, establish partnerships, and implement new projects that align with the city’s orientation of sustainable development.
