“Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” opens in Hue

HNN.VN - On the evening of September 27, Hue City People's Committee, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, organized the “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” event at the building located at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street, Nguyen Dinh Chieu walking street, and the ironwood bridge on the bank of the Huong River.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, emphasized that over 30 years since the establishment of the Vietnam - Republic of Korea relationship, based on a foundation of political trust, cultural similarities, and shared strategic interests, this relationship has continuously grown, bringing great achievements in many fields. The “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” organized in Hue is not merely about economic and trade cooperation, but also represents a strong friendship, and is a testament to the excellent relationship nurtured by mutual trust, understanding, and respect.

For Hue, the Republic of Korea has always been an especially important and close partner. For nearly two decades, many development cooperation projects with the Republic of Korea’s support have left clear imprints. Furthermore, the Republic of Korea’s investors are increasingly interested in Hue, with many projects that have been promoting. Moreover, a series of cultural, artistic, film, culinary, and fashion exchange programs within the framework of Hue Festival, and the Community Ao Dai Week, etc., have deepened the friendship between the people of the two countries, contributing to making Hue increasingly become a destination for connection and creativity.

Mr. Kim Kyoung Cheol, Chief Representative of the Korea Agro-fisheries and Food Trade Corporation (aT) ASEAN Regional Office, emphasized: “The “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” in Hue is not only a meaningful cultural event, but also a bridge of friendship, a vivid testament to the increasingly deep bond between the two nations”.

Attendees at the opening ceremony enjoyed welcoming performances and special Vietnamese-Korean art exchange performances; it officially kicks off a diverse and attractive series of cultural activities that will take place throughout the two-day event.

The “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” is a series of cultural events organized in several localities across Vietnam in 2025, aiming to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, including Hue City. This is an important cultural diplomacy event, affirming the strong relationship between the two countries, and demonstrating Hue's determination to expand international exchange and cooperation, affirming its position as a cultural and tourism center of the country.

The event includes many activities such as exhibitions, art performances, cultural experience zones, tourism, cuisine, and traditional games to promote the cultural beauty of both countries. Through this event, Hue not only promotes its heritage and Vietnamese identity, but also creates a cohesive environment that helps the communities of both countries gain a deeper understanding and share unique cultural values.
