With this new narration function in Visit Hue app, all tourists need is a smartphone to access the automatically narrated stories provided in multiple languages. Initially, the function is available in Vietnamese only, but additional languages will be rolled out later. By integrating GPS technology and QR code, this new function can automatically activate narration as visitors approach the attractions and landscapes without having tour guides.
It’s known that “Tourism Narration” function not only limits in narration but also integrates a smart tourism map, route directions, and nearby service suggestions. Furthermore, it is also connected to the electronic ticketing system of Hue Monuments of Conservation Center, thereby providing tourists with a comprehensive tourism experience from exploring, learning about the sites to visiting and purchasing tickets.
Once visitors enter the Visit Hue app and select the Narration section, the system will automatically play the audio narration if their GPS location falls within the designated area of the heritage site. After entering the app and arriving at destinations included in the narration list, the system will compare the device’s position with the predefined narration areas. If the user is within one of these zones, the app will display the available narrations for that location. Visitors can choose to listen to the narration either automatically or manually. Additionally, they can also share the content by tapping the “share” button to any social media platform they want to post to.
All narration content is scripted and voice-overed by professional broadcasters, and tour guides, ensuring accuracy, attractiveness, and emotional delivery. The app features a user-friendly interface that is suitable for both domestic and international visitors.
The “Tourism Narration” is part of the Plan for Digital Transformation offered by Hue City tourism industry, heading towards the goal of building Hue City into a smart - heritage - culture - ecosystem - friendly - modern destination. In the coming time, all tourists need to do is installing Visit Hue app to access the narration in various languages, including the less common ones, including Italian, German, Korean, Thai, or Portuguese.
