Tourism recorded impressive growth over the 9-day Tet holiday, with over 523,600 visitors and estimated revenue exceeding 1,121 billion VND. The average room occupancy reached 78%, peaking at 99%.
Social welfare was comprehensively ensured, with over 70,000 Tet gift packages, totaling nearly 97 billion VND. The healthcare sector maintained 24/24 duty; agricultural production stayed on schedule; and political security, social order and safety were firmly maintained;…
These results demonstrate the city's socio-economic momentum from the very first days of the year, creating momentum and confidence for the implementation of development tasks in 2026.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the City People's Committee, highly evaluated the organization of festive activities, which preserved cultural identity while serving People and visitors. He noted that the potential for tourism development remains vast; fundamental solutions regarding products, accommodation, transport infrastructure, and parking facilities, and improved service quality are needed to boost visitor spending and length of stay.

Adjusting the Master Plan, shaping new development drivers
The conference heard a report on the adjustments of Hue City’s Master Plan for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050. Two strategic growth drivers were identified: marine economy and heritage economy.

Infrastructure is oriented towards synchronized and modern investment, including inter-regional transport, seaports, aviation, digital infrastructure, and smart urban; the development of high-tech zones and free trade zones; and the improvement of education and healthcare quality, and the formation of specialized centers.
Drawing lessons from Tet organization, focusing on achieving goals by 2030
Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Secretary of the City Party Committee, highly evaluated the responsibility and the proactivity of the entire political system in caring for Tet during the first year of operating the two-tier local government model.

Regarding the adjustments of the Master Plan, the Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that this is not only a technical adjustment, but also an update in development thinking as Hue transitions to the status of a centrally-governed municipality.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung praised the City People's Committee and relevant agencies for their thorough and careful preparation; and basically agreed with the adjustments, especially the orientation for phased implementation by 2030, with growth-driving projects.
