Thanks to its strategic location and ongoing infrastructure upgrades, Chan May Port has currently become an important destination for cruise ships. The port is capable of accommodating large cruise liners, and it is one of 46 recognized cruise destinations in Southeast Asia, attracting a great number of major international cruise lines. It’s known that Chan May Port is aiming to become a world-class cruise port.

A representative from Saigontourist stated that the peak season for receiving international cruise passengers runs from November to April next year. During this period, the company will welcome 4 more cruise groups, including the Celebrity Millennium with 1,800 passengers (on November 9) and the Celebrity Solstice with 3 voyages on November 10, November 22, and December 4, each carrying around 2,800 passengers.

According to the representative of the Department of Tourism, the tourism sector has been trying its best to connect and collaborate with cruise corporations and travel agencies to exploit cruise passengers, at the same time developing new tourism products to attract visitors to experience Hue tourism.
