On September 21st, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, received a delegation from Waseda University and the University of Tsukuba (Japan). The working session focused on research and implementation of a project on disaster prevention and control, and adaptation to flooding and climate change in the city.

On the morning of September 20th, Hue City Federation of Labor organized a program to provide support for disadvantaged union members, workers and children of union members at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, combined with Mid-Autumn Festival activities for the children. Amid rapid technological change, entrepreneurship education at universities needs to create an environment where students can develop creative thinking, problem-solving capacity, and the ability to apply knowledge in practice. This was also the focus of discussions among experts, managers, lecturers, and businesses at the workshop ‘Innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education’, organized by Hue University on the afternoon of September 18.

These days, as the rice fields reach full ripeness, farmers in the communes of A Luoi are busy with the harvest, working to bring the rice home before the rainy and stormy season arrives.

On the afternoon of September 9, in Hue City, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Department of Environment of Shizuoka City (Japan), held a technical workshop to promote carbon neutrality in Hue City in 2026.

Early in the morning, in a three-bay house filled with sea air in Phuong Loc Village (Phu Vinh Commune), 73-year-old Tran Van Than, surrounded by bamboo baskets, miniature boats, and coracles, was moving his hands skillfully with thin bamboo strips. Having spent decades making a living from the sea, though his health no longer allows him to work at sea, his deep affection for his hometown’s sea lives on through every product he makes.

Workshop on “When the Coffee berries Ripen” shares interesting information about the history of coffee, and at the same time brings attractive experiences about preparing and enjoying A Luoi coffee for participants.
