On the morning of August 21st, Hue Central Hospital, in coordination with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, opened the 14th Annual Hue Scientific Conference on Cancer Prevention and Control. The conference brought together more than 600 delegates, including over 30 international experts, speakers and lecturers, to exchange professional expertise and provide updates on the latest advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

On the morning of August 11, leaders of Hue Central Hospital said the hospital had held a discharge ceremony for patient N.T.L., 34, from Quang Ngai Province, who recently underwent the hospital’s 24th heart transplant. After nearly two months of intensive treatment, the patient has made a good recovery, with stable health indicators, and was deemed fit to return home.

On July 13th and 14th, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, in collaboration with Hong Lien Foundation, Inc., organized a community outreach program providing free dental examinations, consultations, and treatment, along with charitable donations, for residents in the mountainous district of A Luoi. On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.

On March 17 and 18, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, in collaboration with Nuoy Reconstructive International (the USA), organized a reconstructive plastic surgery program, providing treatment opportunities for many patients with maxillofacial deformities while opening up prospects for international cooperation in specialized healthcare.

On the first working day following the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 holiday, the number of patients seeking medical examination and treatment at healthcare facilities across Hue roses again. Several illnesses had increased, particularly among the elderly and patients with underlying conditions.
