On the morning of July 25th, the People's Committee of Huong Tra Ward, in coordination with Huong Tra Medical Center, organized a free health checkup, medical consultation, and medicine distribution program for more than 200 people who rendered meritorious service to the revolution in the locality.

On July 25, the Youth Union of the University of Medicine & Pharmacy, Hue University, held the launch ceremony for the 2026 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign, drawing the participation of over 300 youth union members and student volunteers.

On June 19, 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1096/QD-TTg approving a project of developing Hue University of Medicine & Pharmacy Hospital to meet the standards of leading hospitals in Southeast Asia and heading towards the goal of reaching international standards.

Hue City's implementation of the project to develop Hue Central Hospital and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital into international-standard, high-tech medical centers not only opens up a new chapter of development for the two leading medical facilities but also elevates Hue's healthcare sector in the new era.

On the morning of July 15th, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a ceremony to confer graduation certificates and award Level 1 Specialist Doctor degrees to 37 physicians from the 2024 - 2026 cohort, the tenth class trained under Project 585 - the Ministry of Health's pilot program ‘Young Volunteer Doctors for Underserved Areas’.

On the afternoon of June 25, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held a graduation ceremony and awarded graduation degrees to more than 1,100 new doctors, pharmacists and bachelor's graduates from full-time program 2026. The graduates belong to the 2020–2026 and 2021/2022–2026 cohorts across a wide range of health sciences programs, marking an important milestone in their academic journey as they prepare to enter the professional healthcare workforce. ​

This was the theme of the 2026 Expanded Scientific and Technical Conference organized by University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Hue University on June 20.

From June 12 to 19, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital collaborated with Surgical Volunteers International (SVI) of the United States to carry out a humanitarian surgery program for children and adolescents suffering from congenital deformities, as well as burn and trauma-related disabilities.

On June 9th, a delegation of South Korean businesses led by Professor Heather J.Y. Greene of Koshin University of Medicine visited and attended a working session with Hue City People's Committee. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

On the afternoon of June 6th, Hue Cardiology Association held its Delegate Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term, with the participation of leaders from Vietnam National Heart Association, Vietnam Society of Sleep Medicine, Vietnam Society of Interventional Cardiology, Vietnam Hypertension Society, and more than 450 delegates attending both in person and online.
