Hue City's implementation of the project to develop Hue Central Hospital and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital into international-standard, high-tech medical centers not only opens up a new chapter of development for the two leading medical facilities but also elevates Hue's healthcare sector in the new era.

On June 23, Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan chaired a meeting to review and finalize the medium-term public investment plan using state budget capital for the 2026 - 2030 period and assess the implementation and disbursement of public investment funds in 2026.

On June 2nd, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Care for Children organization, held a working session on the implementation of a project to strengthen family-based alternative care for children in special circumstances during the 2026 - 2028 period in Hue. The City People’s Committee has issued a decision to issue the Green Tourism Criteria. The implementation of these criteria aims to concretize the orientation for sustainable, environmentally friendly tourism development, in alignment with the national green growth strategy.

Hue City People's Committee recently issued Plan No. 66/KH-UBND on February 3, 2026, regarding the implementation of the project “Developing tourism and tourism services for Hue City in 2026”. Notably, the city aims to welcome a total of approximately 7 - 7.5 million visitors in 2026, including 2.3 - 2.5 million international visitors, an increase of nearly 20% compared to 2025.

On the evening of January 30, Hue City Tourism Association held a meeting and launched the implementation of its work plan in 2026.
