On the evening of April 17, Hue City People’s Committee held a ceremony to honor and confer the title of “Honorary Citizen of Hue City” to Mr. Kang Bong Jun, a South Korean national, General Director of SMC Hue Co. Ltd., in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the locality’s socio-economic development and international cooperation.

On the morning of March 31, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan had a courtesy meeting with the working delegation of Daewon Group (South Korea), led by Mr. Cheun Eng Sik - Group’s Chairman.

After a three-week artist residency in Hue, on the afternoon of March 27, South Korean artist Sunyoung Park presented her artworks to the public in an exhibition titled “Nostalgia is not what it seems”.

The first charter flight is expected in late March or April 2026, with Hue and its Korean partners planning to launch the inaugural Hue-South Korea charter flight in 2026, followed by efforts to establish regular scheduled service.

On September 27-28, 2025, in the area of 23 - 25 Le Loi and Nguyen Dinh Chieu Walking Street by the Ironwood Bridge on the Huong River, Hue City People’s Committee will collaborate with the Embassy of South Korea in Vietnam to organize the “Vietnam - South Korea Cultural Day 2025”.

From August 24th to 29th, the CIPA 2025 Symposium took place in Seoul, South Korea, with the theme “Heritage Conservation from Digital Data: From Digital Documentation to Data-Based Heritage Preservation”. On June 26, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University in collaboration with Youngsan Health and Science University (South Korea) organized the event “Health Festival” 2025.

On the morning of June 6, the 14th East Asia Local and Regional Government Congress officially opened in Hue City. The event was attended by 200 delegates from over 30 delegations representing local governments from China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
